  • Designed and implemented Technology Enriched Instruction (TEI), a global program faculty development program (www.pil-tei.com) offered in over two dozen countries around the globe.

  • As group manager of readiness and business development for Microsoft Solutions for Management and Infrastructure, developed and drove a consolidated team for business development, product management, testing, user experience, metrics, technical advisory programs, evangelism, content management and corporate partners.
  • Managed the development and release of Microsoft Solutions for Infrastructure and Management version 2.0. This included over 30 documents totaling 3,500 pages and released to multiple outlets. Contributed to the building of the vision and feature specification of the solutions.
  • As group manager of User Experience for Microsoft Solutions for Management Version 1.0, managed the development and release of five infrastructure management solutions and two infrastructure management courses. This included over 50 documents totaling 6,000 pages and released to multiple outlets. Contributed to the building of the vision and feature specification of the management solutions and associated courses.
  • As group manager of Windows Frameworks, successfully managed the development of a manual providing prescriptive guidance for the development of new Microsoft solution offerings.
  • Managed a team of ten staff supporting two Microsoft management solution offerings and integrated solutions Development within Worldwide Services and the Windows product division.
  • As group manager of the Microsoft Business Learning and Development Training organization, increased overall participation in continuing education by over 45% (8,317 to 12,014).
  • In Microsoft Business Learning and Development training organization, increased enrollments of the professional skills area by over 50% from previous year.
  • Planned, built and deployed a new administrative back-end infrastructure system to run the Microsoft business learning and development training organization.
  • Successfully evangelized and created partnerships with six top worldwide content providers resulting in commitments to produce over 2,000 courses on Microsoft learning technologies (MLT).

  • Publisher of, and contributor to, The Technology Source, a peer-reviewed higher education e-journal focusing on the use of technology within higher education.
  • Designed and implemented a Microsoft scholars program which brought together on a regular basis ten of the leading higher education thinkers to advise Microsoft on a wide variety of issues impacting Microsoft and higher education.

 

Babcock Graduate School of Management, Wake Forest University

 

  • Developed a strategic marketing plan that achieved accreditation and a national ranking for the Wake Forest MBA program.
  • Created tactical marketing plans resulting in 60-point increase in student test scores in the face of declining demographics.
  • Created and implemented school-wide strategy of educational information technologies: “Knowledge Navigation.”
  • Created school-wide information depository and retrieval system strategy.
  • Primary liaison with architects, designers and construction manager for building business school portion of new Worrell Professional Center (approximately 180,000 sq. feet; $25.6 million dollar project) on the Wake Forest University campus.
  • Negotiated strategic partnerships with Apple Computer, Inc. and Microsoft Corporation.
  • Negotiated $100,000 donation (hard dollars) of computer equipment from Apple Inc. to Wake Forest University.
  • Negotiated two $10,000 corporate gifts from Apple Inc. and Microsoft Corporation to support student marketing case study competition at the Wake Forest University Graduate School of Management.
  • Negotiated $15,000 corporate furniture gift from Steelcase for the Wake Forest University Management Technology Center.
